Text entered in a search box, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the outside provider that returns the sponsored results. Our own servers do not retain a separate search-history copy. A direct message supplies only the details you decide to send, and we use those details to answer the request.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal web hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited page, and timestamp. Aggregated log data helps diagnose faults and shows which Lompoc resources visitors use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or comparable technology where applicable.
How the Information Is Used
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual user profiles from this information.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Santa Barbara County and California offices, archives, libraries, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by that destination's privacy policy. The same rule applies to sponsored results produced by a third-party provider.

Security and Retention
